That's Shadowcrypt in a nutshell. On the surface, there's not much to this indie side-scroller. You have your undead-filled catacombs, your evil Necromancer, your traps and mazes, and you have random treasure. It's all very familiar, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's bad.
It looks tight. The developer describes the game as "elegantly simple"; a design philosophy that's reflected in the text-light and gameplay-heavy trailer too, whereas Shadowcrypt itself seems like a very distilled, barebones hack and slash experience. Personally, I think that's lovely.
The game will be released on PC in a couple of weeks. Its website is currently under construction, so look to its IndieDB page for updates.
