Folks got all excited when the makers of The Walking Dead games said they were working in the Borderlands universe. Judging from a few new screens from Tales from the Borderlands, that excitement was warranted.
The glimpses below offer a look at new protagonists Rhys and Fiona, as well as already known Borderlands vault hunters like Zero. So far, Tales of the Borderlands‘ art style looks like a nicely detailed hybrid of both Telltale and Gearbox’s visual approaches. The game’s due out within the next few months for multiple platforms.

Telltale’s really getting a lot out of their Telltale Tool. Compare these screenshots to Back to the Future and it’s amazing what a better art direction can do.
