Yes, you read that right. This costs $US900, not $US90. But whatever. If it means I can walk around muttering “enhance” and shooting at robots, I’ll pay it.
Limited to just 50 pieces worldwide, it’s as faithful a reproduction of Harrison Ford’s sidearm as we’re ever going to get, with each component exactly the same as the original movie prop’s, right down to the millimetre.
If $US900 is too much, there’s a $US570 edition, though this comes as an unassembled model kit.
That’s the Japanese box, but for once, the American box art might be better:

Good luck getting that through Australian Customs. We probably have the strictest laws in the world for replica/imitation firearms.
I’ve never wanted something so bad. Made me remember the time I spent my weekly pocket money paying off my layby for the Blade Runner PC game.
would be nice to get, but would be way too much hassle to deal with customs and state and federal gun laws
Good luck getting one of these without any hassle in Aus.
Yeah, I can just see the Police coming to my door when that comes through customs with my name on it. Obviously if I can afford to spend $900 on a fake, I’m not getting it to hold up servos.
Given the price of illegal handguns, $900 is a bargain!
Illegal handguns are wayyy cheaper.
I think in kit form, it’s more likely to get through.
i got my mass effect gun replica through fine (m-77 paladin)… lucky me?
Plunkett, if they refuse to ship in Megatron, then they sure as poo are NOT going to ship this to Australia. Do you have any knowledge on gun OR replica laws? At all? Paid any attention to politics or the legal system since PORT EFFING ARTHUR?
Seeing as the article lists all mentions of money in US currency, and Luke writes for Kotaku US, this is likely a crosspost from there. No reason to blame Plunkett for anything here.
Good guy ashuramgs2sub; turning up to put out the flaming 😛
I’d assemble it myself to save $330
