For a while now, giant eyes have been a thing in Japanese anime. We should be used to them. But damn they sure are distracting when learning about bullying. Creepy, even.
This is the work of manga artist Kaoru Igarashi, who created a manga series called Ijime (いじめ) or “bullying.” This is an important issue, and it’s great that Igarashi tackled it. I just wish the way she drew eyes wasn’t so… yeah.
This week, the Ijime original video anime from a while back was posted on 2ch, Japan’s largest forum in a thread called “This bullying anime is fucking funny hahahahahahahaha.” On 2ch and 2ch sites, commenters pointed out how “scary” the characters’ eyes were and that the whole thing seemed somewhat surreal.
Nightmares. Endless nightmares.
In anime and manga aimed at little girls in Japan, the eyes can especially get huge, which is fine. Oddly, it makes watching Ijime all the more frightening.
You can watch the full clip below. It’s in Japanese, but you should be able to follow along — that is, unless the huge eyes don’t throw you off.

Those eyes are like a parody of the usual anime eyes.
Ok so this anime is about bullying, hmm but those eyes may be unfortunately be pick up by 1 steve moffat & be turned into a real nightmare
Oh God, it’s like the late 90s vomited onto a sheet of paper and they made an anime out of it.
If big eyes aren’t your thing, maybe bearded men, people in skeleton costumes and girls in fake scale mail might be your thing.
I always have heard and seen people or children who are bullied. Threatened, hurt, verbally abused, etc. It`s really hurt seeing people get hurt. “haters will say what they want, but their hate will never stop you from chasing your dream”. I suggest a safety application you could use if you are in trouble. check this out for more info. http://safekidzone.com/#!/page_home
