Star Wars is famously inspired by Japanese samurai films. So it makes sense for Bandai to release this wonderful Samurai-style Darth Vader.

Did you know that George Lucas apparently offered the Darth Vader role to Toshiro Mifune? According to Mifune’s daughter, the Star Wars creator did.

An excellant statue that brings back on what inspired star wars in the first place, samurai warriors, thus allowing the beautiful swordfight art to the west, possibly allowing some anime fans to draw crossover art for both ie samurai era art depicting star wars characters & legendary samurai characters in the star wars universe
I always wondered what the film would have been like with Mifune in it. I imagine the saber fights would have been more interesting.
