Seriously, I pity the fool that decided to release their video game this week. It’s all about the Steam Sales this week and we all know it. This is the week we spend all of our money on old games. Old games we’ll probably never play, or even bother installing!
GRID Autosport Limited Black Edition (360/PS3/PC)
What is it? I remember when a new GRID game was something of an event. They seem to come and go without much fanfare nowadays…
Should you care? GRID has always been a great series, worth a bash I’m sure.
Sniper Elite 3 (Xbox One/PS4/Xbox 360/PS3/PC
What is it? The sequel to the game that lets you shoot Hitler in the balls.
Should you care? From all accounts a solid, unspectacular shooter that caters to a very specific niche.
Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark (Xbox One/PS4/360/PS3/3DS/Wii U)
What is it? A sequel to that one really good Transformers game that shocked everyone by actually being really good.
Should you care? I see no reason why this won’t be solid. I suspect that losing that ‘wait this game is actually good’ surprise may impact both the sales and the perceived quality of this game. That said, it’ll probably still be solid.
Yu-Gi-Oh: Zexal World Duel Carnival (3DS)
What is it? I have no idea what this is. It’s a card battling game set in the Yu-Gi-Oh universe, but beyond that I’m stumped.
Should you care? One of those games that, if you care about it, you’ll already know about it. If not? Then you’ll probably want to skip it.

Might have to get Sniper Elite 3, loved the first 2, not much else to play on Xbone now till Destiny.
Isn’t Valiant Hearts out on Wednesday?
Not much in that list really other than transformers, any news on if the WiiU version is as good or better than the 360/PS3 version?
Any new WiiU titles coming in the next month or so?
The next big one is Smash Bros. at the end of the year I think. I could be wrong though.
Yes sadly the Wii U is looking pretty bleak for the rest of the year bar Bayonetta 2, Smash and Hyrule Warriors (1st and 3rd games are still pretty niche). 2015 will be good to the Wii U.
Hyrule warriors looks to be quite different to the usual dynastywwarriors game. Also, the bayonetta double-pack looks awesome.
Oh shit, I didn’t realize that Rise Of The Dark Spark was a sequel to the Cybertron games, I thought it was just a crappy tie-in game. Still, I probably won’t pick it up, spent waaayyy too much money on the Steam sale, and I’m really wary of the fact that it was not developed by High Moon.
I think it’s kind of both. Stuff on it has mentioned that it does somehow ties the Bay films in with the Cybertron games. And yeah, even though I haven’t gotten around to playing Fall yet I’m kinda interested yet also wary too.
“The sequel to the game that lets you shoot Hitler in the balls.”
Shouldn’t that be “ball”?
*sings*
The other, is hanging on the wall.
Interesting… The lyrics I was taught are “Goering had two but they were small”
Himmler had something similar! \o/
But Goebbels had no balls at all.
Pretty much mashes both, doesn’t it? Or line it up for a 2-for-1 😛
*Whoosh*
It’s a monday. :<
It’s all good, buddy. Mondays are poo.
If it’s any consolation, I enjoyed the humour after I realised what a wind tunnel I had been. 😛
Well one of the achievements seems to reference that song
One piece on the vita 3DS and PS3 is out this week to. For me it’s Sniper elite loved the first 2 and Tranformers also loved the first 2 and of course One piece
So pumped for Sniper Elite.
V2 was amazing. Playing the demo, My first “Nut Shot”, I couldnt believe what i saw, instantly went and pre-ordered full game. Hooked.
“I remember when a new GRID game was something of an event. They seem to come and go without much fanfare nowadays…”
what? This is the third game… the second had a big fanfare but this one doesnt… case closed
I want to get Transformers because I enjoyed the last two High Moon studios games. Although this is being made by another studio so I would prefer to wait. Although the longer I wait, the less populated the MP will be. I really enjoyed escalation in the last one and this one has 4 player co op.
I’m surprised that Grid Autosport was only on last gen consoles
I think you’re seeing games by dev teams who weren’t brought in on the Sony/MS loop
I’m on board for Sniper Elite 3, just ‘cos I’m a sucker for a co-op shooter.
Though in the last game their x-ray effect gimmick didn’t appear in the co-op save for a couple of specific instances, so I hope they at least solved that problem.
