More Than A Game is a documentary that was a long time in the making. It chronicles the lead-up to (and events of) EVo 2011, and features interviews with some of the scene’s biggest names.
It’s a good watch for fighting game fans, yeah, but also for anyone else, because it gets under the skin of just why so many people love it so damn much.

I read this article after the “Channel’s 10 hideous attack on Video Games” post. This puts things in place 🙂 Thank you~!AHA!
I knew street fighter fans were nuts
This’ll prove it to my friend
Starting the doco with the Daigo vs Justin vid was a good idea, misspelling his name as Diago was not.
(Capcom) Fighting games are brilliant, but the problem is they don’t have the exposure that they deserve. RL sports games get millions of dollars, Dota 2 is however many million this year… and yet fighting games are even more niche and would be lucky to get a few thousand. I typically find Streetfighter boring, but high level Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 or MvC2 is great to play/watch even though they’re not as balanced.

Edit:
And I bet Rocket Raccoon won’t be as cool in the Guardians of the Galaxy movie as the game:

Also it’s sad that this for once isn’t available digitally anymore… and if you want to get an arcade stick you usually can’t just go to your local EB Games or JB Hifi or something.
