Originally slated for release on July 31, Zen Studios’ Pinball FX2 for the Xbox One has been pushed back into August in order to implement changes need to allow players to import tables they have already purchased on the Xbox 360. Thank goodness.
Fans were not at all happy when Zen announced the Xbox One version would lack the ability to import Xbox 360 content, effectively making fans who’ve upgraded to Microsoft’s new-gen console re-purchase content. Pinball FX2 is a free download that comes with a single playable table, with dozens of themed tables available as paid downloadable content.
While the PlayStation 4 version of the game was released with the ability to import tables from the PlayStation 3 and Vita version, Zen originally stated the Xbox One version would not support the feature “due to technical limitations and platform differences.”
Fan outcry urged Zen to get together with Microsoft to work things out. From an official statement:
Microsoft and Zen Studios have taken your feedback to heart, and seeing that many of you were very upset with the news that table transfers between Xbox 360 and Xbox One would not be happening, we have some good news for you! We will be able to implement table transfers on Xbox One starting from Pinball FX2’s launch. Any available table on Xbox One that was previously purchased for Xbox 360 can be imported to the new version free of charge.
As a fan of the game whose Xbox 360 is filled with at least $US100 worth of downloaded tables, this is the best of news, definitely worth waiting a few more weeks for.

This is the exact reason why I purchased about another $70 worth of tables last night. Only have to get about another $25 worth and I’ve got them all, not including the upcoming The Walking Dead and Guardians Of The Galaxy tables.
