Resogun’s Creators Are Making A Game About Aliens For PS4

Resogun developer Housemarque just revealed a top-down co-op alien shooter that sees players blasting hundreds of aliens into strawberry mush. At the same time. You can also betray your friends, if you want. The game is called Alienation, because of course it is.

It’s a co-op blast-’em-up in the vein of previous Housemarque release Dead Nation, only in this one you have the option of “going rogue” and attacking your teammates. It looks like total chaos even without that extra dash of spice sending the pot into a volcanic boil, so I’m expecting an unabashedly over-the-top experience.

Visually the whole thing kinda reminds me of Warhammer 40K. Lumbering mechanical hulks clomping as death courses through their very veins, bodies and blood flying in directions I didn’t even know existed, and so on.
