Most of the Mega-Evolved Pocket Monsters look totally rad. That’s the point! They’re supposed to be badass. I guess this one missed the memo.
This is the Mega-Evolution for Dragon Pokemon Salamence for the new Pokémon remakes Alpha Sapphire and Omega Ruby.
“This design truly sucks,” wrote one commenter on 2ch, Japan’s largest bulletin board, in a thread comparing this Mega to a tadpole. “The wings are going the wrong way,” wrote another commenter.
Others complained about the recent Pokémon designs. “This is much better,” quipped a commenter, posting this:

Digimon’s always been better than Pokemon that’s an unfair comparison. Although Mega Salamence doesn’t look too bad.
Yet again someone designed another awesome looking fighter aircraft looking pokemon, because to me mega salamence looks like a sci fi fighter aircraft.
Minus the wriggly tail, I agree. As for the ‘wrong way’ wings, see SU-47 Berkut….
