A Survival Game Where You Can’t Actually Die

A Survival Game Where You Can’t Actually Die

Luke already wrote a bit about Eidolon, the zombie-less, crafting-free survival game, but I figured I’d give it a try as well. The game is massive and mysterious, a ringing, pristine silence after a disaster. It really is incredible to explore, even if not a lot happens sometimes. Watch my video and see for yourself.

A few things to note:

1) This came from about an hour-and-a-half of playtime. I just edited it down a lot because there were long stretches of aimless wandering. Not that aimless wandering is a bad thing; it’s just not very interesting to watch.

2) I only found the tip of the iceberg in terms of story and other signs of long-gone life. Apparently it gets pretty crazy the further you go. This video is only a small taste.

3) You don’t actually die in Eidolon so much as you lose consciousness and then wake up in a peaceful forest, tools still intact. That said…

4) Fuck that bear, man. Seriously. Fuck that fucking bear.
