Well this weekend is a complete wash for me. I’m moving house with all the difficulties that moving house entails: no internet, moving stuff, rebuilding certain piece of furniture. Urgh. It’s gonna be a tough weekend.
I think my best bet is probably handheld or mobile gaming, so I might bust out Proteus or Fez on the Vita. That’s a possibility. Or maybe I’ll just set up the TV in the middle of an empty room, ignore everyone and all of my problems and play some more of The Last of Us.
Somehow I don’t think that’s going to go down well with my wife and all my friends and family who are helping with the move.
Let me live vicariously through you! Tell me what you’re playing this weekend.

Looks like I’ll finish the Last of Us for the first time. Great game, I played it for a while on PS3 but it’s a lot better on PS4.
Risen 3 Titan Lords!
Tried it out last night.. if you don’t take it too seriously it could be a fun RPG.
Playing Skyrim modded right now and it’s still the best RPG out there and now even more sexy look’n
it took me a while to realize what they were trying to do with risen initially. being a step away from the wizards and warriors left a lot of people unsure of what to make of it. As I was playing through the second one, I started to think of it more as a kind of pirate simulation of sorts. It really gelled well and made the whole concept much more appealing. Taking RPG’s in directions like that can work out terribly, but they actually pulled it off with the same level of greatness that I remember from Gothic. The complexity is still there in terms of upgrades and stuff, it’s just distributed differently due to having different skills to work with.
It got me to wondering while playing Risen 2, what it would be like if they did a cowboy/western kind of setting. If they could make an RPG about being a pirate and do such a good job, I’d love to see some other genre’s too!
I’ve never finished a Risen game before, but I have played 1 and 2. You have to be a certain sort of gamer to fully appreciate it and for me its somewhat of a guilty pleasure. I have only played 45 mins of Risen Titan Lords last night and was surprised at the level of detail they put int the ‘titan’ aspect (albeit briefly on the ship). Will definately enjoy this game over the weekend 🙂
Finally getting back into BF4. That last updated was the cream on top. Playable and it doesn’t freeze every third game. Woooooo.
But are more players back? Last time I tried the servers on pc were on the empty side. People have moved on. Bf3 sometimes have more servers these days.
Yeah I haven’t dropped a game. The other day there was a problem where no games showed up for about 30 mins, but it rectified itself shortly after. I went back to BF3 for a while due to netcode rage problems I had with BF4. ONLY beef is there are not that many rush games. I still feel though BF3 is somewhat better than 4 in some odd way.
I got it for the free week. I’m only in it for SP though. Some of my time will be spent going through the campaign. It’s pretty shoddy in places though… bugs and quirks. One quirk is that the sound design appears to be old-school where if you are in a door frame and it’s pouring down rain, outside it sounds as stormy as it should be, but step past that imaginary line into the building and suddenly there’s no rain sound at all.
A bit of Warmachine. I finished winning one of the League prizes (top painter), went on to win a local tournament two weeks ago, went on to a tournament last week, now I’ve started another league. Getting too much Warmachine as of late.
I’m also playing the moving house game, although it will most likely be on Tuesday instead of Sunday.
Probably some 2DS, decided to give in and let Nintendo steal 40 bucks from me. At least I stole Pokemon X from them (even though I already have Pokemon Y).
Maybe some Halo: Reach or going through my backlog.
Nice one! Any photos of your minis? I’m a bit of a painter myself but haven’t touched them for a couple of years now.
It’s all on my Facebook page. Need to upload some new models I painted over the last month.

Possibly might take a gaming break and just watch The Killing.
Who dies this week?
Game Dev Tycoon, plus Out There on the iPad (!?)
Dayzzzzzzzzzzz.
not as a bandit.
If you feel like some first person dayz hit me up.
Mostly working, but I should be able to get in a few hours a night, so I’ll be playing Forza 5, Disney Infinity, Skylanders: Swap Force, and I might get back to Rayman Legends or Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, if I can squeeze them in.
Good luck with the move Mark,
Peggle 2! I’m playing it RIGHT NOW!
And I’ve started Deus Ex: Human Revolution on Wii U. Literally. I pressed the button for “New game”, and saw about 5 seconds of the intro, then had to switch it off. So I’ll see if I can find some time to continue with that.
Such an excellent game, executed so well with the gamepad. One of the few games I’ve finished in a long time, and the references to Brisbane were freaking me out. I thought it was using location data to alter in game content!
Because my back is still stuffed, my PC chair of pure awesome is no longer so awesome. This means console time.
Mario Kart, Pullblox, and some Metroid Prime are definitely on the cards. FFX may require my attention too.
I’m going to a Buck’s night…thing.
It starts with sailing, then off to a rifle range before heading over to a mate’s house for an all night LAN.
I’m sitting at Brisbane airport with a suitcase full of board games and the hope that the people coming to the LAN part remember that games other than League of Legends exist.
This weekend is all about Robin Williams films and Guardians of the Galaxy for me. With some Fifa thrown in there.
I’ll be finishing Asura’s Wrath and then moving on to Wet. Other than that it’ll be a mix of Etrian Odyssey: Untold and Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds.
Downloaded the new WWE SuperCard game on android and am pretty much addicted already… I can see myself playing it for most of the weekend.
It’s going to be raining like a motherfark this weekend Mr Serrels… Good luck with that.
EDIT: I forgot the “Muahhahahahahahahahah”
EDIT: “Muahhahahahahahahahah”
I’m playing the game “Why is kotaku.au ignoring GC2014?” ^^
…and some Wolfenstein
I’ve got a few point & click adventure games piling up in my Steam library so this weekend I intend to make a concerted effort to finish the 3rd & 4th Blackwell games by Wadjet Eye (I don’t own the fifth and final in the series yet), start Broken Sword for the third time and hopefully finish it this time – I have 2 and 3 in my library and just bought 5 last night because I had a 60% off coupon for it… I hope it’s good. I heard 4 sucks so I’m happy to skip it.
I also have Deponia and Chaos on Deponia (again, I bought Chaos purely because I had a 66% off coupon) so I should check those out too. I’ve heard good things.
Dragon Age origins & Last of us Remastrrrrrd.
Might play the Left Behind DLC for The Last of Us Remastered, might play The Stick of Truth since I picked that up last week or just PVP on WoW all weekend… Yeah that’ll probably be what happens.
I rekon I’ll slay a few beasties in dark souls 2 DLC and maybe jump online for some GTA V with a few mates, always good for a few laughs.
Probably a bit of wow. but im heading to EB Now to see if theres anything worth playing on 3DS or Wii U that im interested in. probs Zelda of some description.
6 games purchased in Steam sales, when my internet went out. 2 games purchased this morning in celebration of internet getting activated and modem arriving. If setup goes smoothly and speeds not crap, I’ll be playing Valiant Hearts, Divinity: OS, Demonomicon, Risen 3, or Dark Souls 2 DLC. Or Silent Hills/PT. Aww… too much choice. Gah… knowing me, I’ll get paralysed by choice and just spend the weekend playing Pokemon again.
Going to attempt to finish Dark Souls II. \[+]/
I *finally* put Xenoblade to bed so at the moment I’ve gone back to Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2. Portable I’m continuing through the hebijo campaign of Senran Kagura Burst.
I don’t know what games I might play but I’ll be playing with my Ergodox as much as possible. I’m nearly finished building it!
PS4 – Abe’s Oddysee, about to head to Paramonia, need to get back into it as I haven’t played it since last weekend.
Vita – Ratchet & Clank 3 on the Vita, the game is still so good! Best weapons of the PS2 trilogy.
PS3 – Ratchet & Clank 2, started this concurrently with the Vita version and the Vita version has ended and want to finish this and move to R&C3 as well.
Im likely to be playing P.T. again….in a dark room.
Hopefully I’ll get to play a little more The Last of Us on PS4. Am absolutely loving it. Even though I completed it on PS3, I think I’m enjoying it just as much the second time around. Can’t wait to get stuck into the DLC.
Might even jump into a game with one of my new found Kotaku PSN friends. Yay, I have friends!
Just got my first proper gaming PC, so I’ll be setting that up and playing whatever I can get cheap on Steam.
I might download DC Universe Online too, as I have a friend who has just started playing that.
Not sure if i’m allowed to post this… but the reddit software trading thread is a good place to buy cheap steam keys;

Welcome to the master race 🙂
Thank you, its good to be here.
Ive started my first ever Pokemon Nuzlocke run – on Pokemon X. Child of Light (Wii U), TLOU PS4 and MK8 will have to wait…
Warframe, I have to unlock all those planets
Watch Dogs, Max Payne 3 and Dark souls 2 are games I’m slowly working through
I’m really loving Trails in the Sky at the moment, my only gripe with it is the dialogue is overly nice it’s superficial and takes you away from the immersion.
I think it will slowly grow on you. I found the dialogue to be deliberately lighter in tone to contrast with the seriousness of the story and the impact of the character relationships. See what you think at the end.
Maybe Dark Souls 2 DLC.
I planned on playing it last weekend but didn’t get to it.
360 – GTA Online. Maybe finish up ds1, im right at the end.
X1 – Prob some more Madden. Diablo next week for some co-op with my non-pc mates.
Ps4 – ill try and get some games in of multiplayer TLOU, but ive waited 2.5 hours for a game so far without success. Not even once.
Pc – Divinity original sin with the missus.
7 Days to Die if Alpha 9 is released. *crosses fingers*
I’m in a real nostalgia mood these months. Maybe because i’m getting old or maybe because there is nothing to play at the moment I’m revisiting all my old favourites (in HD). FFX is done. I may get back to FFX2 but after 100+ hours of FFX im a little tapped out. I picked up a copy of Ocarina of Time on the 3DS last night so will totally get into that over the weekend.
Well….maybe I’ll potter around with Black Flag. Or start some Watch_Dawgs, but I kinda feel like that boat might’ve sailed. Having said that, I spent enough money on the game and season pass to warrant a shot. Damn the driving is balls though. It plain sucks. Anyway….ill put in some time with it still.
PS4 – Thief! Nice as it’s my first Thief game but still getting used to the controls and the save point system.
PS3 – Tintin with the kids and maybe some Bioshock.
Vita – Still all up in Monpiece…
The forest.
Still in alpha bout a good hi res, minecraft like game.
My kids have commandeered the Xbone to play Lego Marvel Super Heroes so I’m going to attack my Shameful pile of Shame on the 360…
GTA V and RDR being my two prime targets
