Where The Pony Fans Go To Spend All Of Their Money

On the very lower level of the Baltimore Convention Center is a large ballroom filled with My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic plushies, prints, toys, statues, comics, cards, clothes and -- most importantly -- people with a lot of money looking to offload some.

They call the dealer's room for BronyCon 2014 "Blank Canvas's Marketplace". Since it's the most handicap-accessible spot in the entire massive building, today I called it home. Rent was pretty damn expensive, though we'll get to that later.

For now, enjoy the wide-open spaces and smiling faces. Saturday is going to be a crowded nightmare. Thank goodness I got rid of all that money already.

It's like an audition reel for 'To Catch A Predator' :(

This is disturbing on so many levels.

Yep. The kind of grown man who is a fan of My Little Pony seems a lot like the kind of grown man who has a rape dungeon.

I don't get these commentors. The article says nothing out of the ordinary and the video makes it look like any other con, except less full... What am I missing?

You know how a whole bunch of boys who think themselves men react to anything slightly feminine involving themselves with blind rage? Children who think themselves mature react with blind hate and ridicule.

        There, fixed it for you.

you're not missing anything. just a bunch of closed minded people reacting to something slightly out of there comfort zone. I'm not an MLP fan at all but i wont begrudge someone their passion.

This guy gets it, not a MLP fan either but who cares? i dont like cars but im not gonna bitch about racing games n shit

Kotaku: Where the pony articles go.

How many fedora's can you spot!

      6. I saw 6 of them. Do you not like fedoras for some reason?

Not when they are worn by people who have no business wearing them.

It looks like any other convention to me, except maybe with less cosplay. I'm not into Ponies at all, but this looks like it would be fun if you were.

The only thing that surprises me is the sheer volume of it! I know MLP is big, but it's just one show... How is there so much Merch?!?

Andddd that's where it should be :P

I have nothing against people who like ponies and shit but I think it's a tad weird, just my opinion tho
