It’s only the most heavily funded video game in Kickstarter history. It’s only the game that made its initial funding target in six hours. Yep, Torment: Tides of Numenera, the spiritual successor to Planescape: Torment is a big deal, as is this early look at the game itself.
It’s looking great so far, and I say this as someone who — be gentle — didn’t actually play Planescape: Torment. So if I’m watching this and thinking, ‘hey, I would like to play this’ I can only imagine what the incredibly vocal and intense Planescape fanbase is thinking.
I’m imagining mass hysteria. Pleasure so intense it borders on the painful. Have a watch at this and survive if you can.
