Batman’s Vampire Son And The Joker’s Severed Head Join Infinite Crisis

Batman’s Vampire Son And The Joker’s Severed Head Join Infinite Crisis

The makers of Infinite Crisis continue to expand the twisted alternate reality DC Comics playground today with a brand-new tutorial mode and two of the strangest additions to its hero roster yet — Nightmare Robin and Atomic Joker.

You’ve no idea how long I’ve been waiting for this game’s single-player tutorial mode. For ages it’s just been a single tutorial, rewarding new players with Gaslight Batman along with a lesson in the game’s most basic functions. Now it’s got a full course load, after which new players will have a set of six heroes to play with.

Probably not the newest two heroes though.

Nightmare Robin is the vampire son of Batman and Talia al Ghul from Earth-19. This version of Damien Wayne is a speedy assassin who has pledged to wipe the curse of vampirism from the world. Good for him.

Meanwhile, Atomic Joker is the Joker’s head in a jar attached to the back of one of his minions. The Joker calls his minion Gaggy. When Gaggy dies, the head leaps from his back and jumps around, dealing damage until finally expiring. I think I love him.

The free-to-play MOBA is currently applying this lovely update, so check it out when the game’s back up at 5pm EST (7am AEST).
