The Volvo XC90’s headlights are supposed to look like Thor’s hammer. Check it out below.
Symbolising this historic day in Volvo’s 87 year history, the new XC90 will be the first of its cars to carry the company’s new more prominent iron mark, which has the iconic arrow elegantly aligned with the diagonal slash across the grille. Together with the T-shaped “Thor’s Hammer” DRL lights, the iron mark introduces an entirely new, distinctive and confident face for Volvo’s forthcoming generation of cars.

Considering Thor’s hammer has a short handle, this is twice as silly.
Marvel’s representation of a norse myth’s weapon in the region it originated in probably doesn’t carry much weight with them. There’s probably nothing about being worthy to wield the power of the high beams either.
The mythological version is also short handled, it’s why Thor has to wear +Str belt and gloves to wield it one handed.
That grille between the headlights sure is hideous.
That entire vehicle sure is hideous.
You were expecting anything else from Volvo? 🙂
