We don’t know the name of Persona 5‘s protagonist. In Japan, gamers are calling him either one of two things: “P5‘s main character” (P5の主人公) or “Potter” (ポッター). You know, as in Harry Potter. But they’re not the only ones calling him this.

As seen on forums and sites like GameFAQs and Giant Bomb, the English-speaking gaming world also thinks that this Persona 5 character looks like he’s out of Hogwarts. So, people the world over say this protag looks like Harry Potter.
Yesterday, Twitter user Hakuo0809 tweeted, “It took less than five minutes for P5‘s main character to be nicknamed ‘Potter.’” The tweet has since been retweeted over two thousand times. Another tweet dubbing the character “Potter” was also retweeted over four thousand times. Numerous other net users have already taken to the nickname.
Japanese Twitter users have also been uploading Persona 5 Potter fan images, some of which you can see below. Either the image directly refers to “Potter” or its written tweet specifically refers to the new nickname.

So “Potter” it is, then.

Man when I saw that Persona 5 Trailer my jaw was hurting from the amount of continuous smiling, I cannot wait.
Please please PLEASE be as good as persona 3.
Not saying 4 was bad (it was awesome) but persona 3 is utterly amazing.
So keen for p5
To me he’ll be Charlie Tunoku 2.
