I’ve been lurking in the official Sims 4 forums for the last week. Most threads are about things you’d expect — namely, people hashing out how they feel about the newly-released game. But every so often, a thread will pop with an amazing situation or complaint.
Get ready for some capslock, people.
One of the more surprising situations people are encountering involves incest — it seems that for some people, The Sims 4 will forget that certain Sims are related. It leads to kind of uncomfortable situations, and even some outrage.

One quick thing: “woohoo” is the Sim’s way of saying “sex.” Woohooing means having sex. Personally, I’ve never had related sims try to sleep with each other, but I did manage to convince a mum sim — who is married — to sleep with her daughter’s spouse. They’re not technically related by blood, though, so!
In any case, some more messed-up family situations:

A few threads are more…sexual. Here’s someone that hates that they can see a Sim’s nipple through her dress:

The thread goes on for a dozen pages, with people arguing about whether or not seeing a nipple in The Sims is that big of a deal. (Spoilers: most people in the thread don’t seem to mind it.)
Folks are encountering lots of hilarious situations with woohooing:

Thread title: WOOHOOING GOT MY SIM PREGNANT AND MY BOYFRIEND DEAD
Thread title: WAS THE WOOHOO REALLY THAT BAD?
Thread title: THE SIMS 4 IS DEFINITELY THE HOME OF THE MODERN FAMILY
One thread even discusses at-length whether or not teens in the game should be able to “mess around,” and whether or not messing around could actually be seen as TEEN SEX.

Another thread seemingly takes offence to two boys being flirty with each other…
Thread title: THIS IS TOTALLY INAPPROPRIATE:
But, despite the capslock and seemingly disgusted tone of the initial post, the original poster was actually joking — perhaps even making fun of threads like the one about nipples. Nonetheless, the thread goes on to have 19 pages, with some people genuinely grossed out that this is possible in the game.
Kids, being romantic with each other? Feeling, perhaps, a little gay? Not in my video games.
(I’m joking.)
But this person really ain’t all up on what homosexual sims might do:

(“Plum” is how the forums censors inappropriate language.)
What I can’t help but wonder is, does this poster mean “2 gay couple” as in, four people? Or is that their weird way of saying a single pair?
And finally, here’s one thread about a wedding gone horribly wrong:

Lots of funny situations. Many curious moral situations, too — there’s always this question of, just how much should a life simulation game like The Sims allow? While some of these, such as the incest thing, might be bugs, should the game be programmed against it in the first place? Or should people have the option to, say, let their teen sims have sex with each other? How romantic should the game allow kids to be?
Legitimate questions! I get why people on the forums might talk about this stuff. But I also can’t help but laugh at the way these discussions pop up sometimes.

I’m not seeing many reviews for this game (none from the major sites anyway) but according to wiki it came out several days ago. Did they place some insane embargo on this?
I have to say I love the idea of a MISSION FAILED screen in the Sims, hahah.

I haven’t played the Sims 4, yet, but I was an avid player of the Sims 2 a few years ago (tried Sims 3, found it meh), but basically, when it comes to WooHoo-ing there are two options – “WooHoo” and “Try for Baby”.
“WooHoo” = no baby
“Try for Baby” = chance of baby
At least that’s how it was in the Sims 2 & I think 3. So, yeah, it would (kinda?) be a bug, or at least unexpected, if WooHoo = baby in Sims 4.

Come on, anyone can see the boy in “THIS IS TOTALLY INAPPROPRIATE” is just asking the other kid if he even lifts.
