A first in franchise history, LittleBigPlanet 3 will feature a full voice cast for its adventure mode. And with English comedian Stephen Fry reprising his role as the narrator, there’s no better villain than his original partner in crime, Hugh Laurie.
Though mainly known these days as Dr House from the hit medical drama (and Stuart Little’s dad), Hugh Laurie was once half of English comedy duo Fry and Laurie, so LittleBigPlanet 3‘s adventure shall be a reunion of sorts. Laurie will voice the villainous Newton, the game’s villain, who no doubt has it in for the power of imagination. That, or he’ll nearly kill it three or four times trying to heal it before having some sort of epiphany and saving the day.
Other fresh cast members joining Fry and Laurie include Peter Serafinowicz from Shaun of the Dead, Simon Greenall from Alan Partridge, video game veteran Nolan North and my favourite female voice actor, Tara Strong, who obviously didn’t get the Kevin Smith gig I recommended her for last week. Sorry, Tara.
LittleBigPlanet 3 arrives on the PS4 on November 19. I’m getting it extra enthusiastically now.

That’s just totally awesome. I hope his character plays the blues. 😉
Fully voiced? I don’t know if I need or want Sackboy to talk. I kind of liked him being mute and expressing himself through facial expressions and gestures etc.
Hey, nice name 😛
But Sackboy won’t talk. It’ll just be the other, non-playable characters, like LBP2.
So Hugh Laurie will let us try to solve the puzzles for 30 mins then come in the last second and solve it for us.
It’s probably Lupus.
IT’S NOT LUPUS!
I think you probably could have just said “Hugh Laurie” instead of “Dr House” in the title. He’s more than that one role.
And House is the most boring of all his roles. Blackadder probably still one of his best.
Dr. House… Another American article.
