Fine Art: It’s Time For Adventure Time (Storyboards)!

Adam Muto is one of the artists who has worked on animated series Adventure Time. While that’s a show that’s as famous for its colour palette as it is some incredible voice acting, today we’re going to take a look at where much of the show starts: the storyboards.

These tiny thumbnails, all hand-drawn by Muto for the show, are fantastic. It’s fascinating seeing the show broken down into its purest form. How punching a giant chicken in the guts only takes two frames here, but can be so great once its actually animated and acted out.

Muto started out as an artist on the show, but in the years since its debut has worked his way up into an executive producer role.

These pics can actually be found in an upcoming art book, called Adventure Time: The Art Of Ooo. It’s out next week.
