Making Anime Sure Doesn’t Look Easy

I say that not only because I cannot draw, but because even for those who can, making anime doesn’t look easy! This is a fascinating look at how Kyoto Animation produces its work.

Here, the anime is Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions.

In the screenshots below, which were taken from the Blu-ray release, you can see the rough animation being drawn, images on computer being coloured in and shaded, and camera movements being laid out. It’s an interesting look at Kyoto Animation’s process.
