All Of Halo 2's Remastered Cutscenes, In 1080p

One of the major overhauls 343 planned for Halo: The Master Chief Collection was in upgrading Halo 2's cutscenes. And Blur Studios, the team responsible for remastering them, did a wonderful job.

You can watch them all, back to back, thanks to YouTuber Unyshek - The Halo Professor. If you're playing through Halo 2 while catching these scenes, you can hit the 'oldschool' button to compare just how much has changed. And it is quite the difference.

Here is the old school version in case you're interested:

Wow. I'm going to get crucified for this but...I have only ever played ODST. This makes me want to trade in my PS4 for an Xbone. Fuck me right?

This is wonderous! I'd love to see some side by side comparisons with the original scenes.

You can't switch during a cutscene.

Yeah, because Halo has always used the in-game engine for their cutscenes while in Halo 2 Anniversary the cutscenes are pre-rendered movies.

Yes you can. I do it regularly. You can't during CE but you can in Halo 2. It's not great though because the new cinematics have completely different timing to the old ones so sometimes when you switch it's out of sync.

Is it just me or does the lip-syncing suck in these?

Probably because the way they remastered them to keep their character they didn't reanimate anything and everything, as far a as layout and motions go is original. Just looks prettier, which I think is the way to go personally.

PC release of the Master Chief collection or no thanks, I had 4 360's die on me and I am not keen to buy a XBone for one game collection.

I stopped playing after halo 2... never got around to finishing playing 3 but damn this makes me jelly of xbone owners... Ill just sit over here with my ps4 with no sunset and halo. if Microsoft keeps this up I will have to strongly consider getting one too.
