While glitches get all the hype in Assassin’s Creed Unity, it’s worth remembering that the game is quite a looker, too. Digital Paris looks gorgeous.
If you’re on the fence as to what version of Unity to pick up, one of the many things to consider will be the graphics. Judging from DigitalFoundry‘s graphical comparison videos, all versions of the game look solid — which makes sense, given that the game was developed only for current-gen consoles.
Still, it might not be surprising that the hierarchy puts PC version at the top, with PS4 and Xbox One trailing. Take a look — and do note that the videos are in slow-mo:

From the stills, the PS4 version looks quite nice, probably better than the Xbox. But, naturally, PC trumps them both, which is never going to be a surprise.
considering its an Ubisoft game i will assume all version are on par with the PC version stripped back a bit so as to not Butthurt the console fanboys. with all versions suffering from Frame rate issues and bugs?
Not sure if you are trying to state the obvious based on the news recently or just trying to act smart 🙂
no just stating the obvious about every Ubisoft game EVER without reading the article 🙂
Sure… The only game that made that into issue is watch dogs and now ac unity and you are saying every ubi soft game.
Such a Watch_Dog
I’m playing rogue, why is no one talking about that? It’s great it’s got ships and an irish guy and all the good assassiny stuff.
I’m waiting for it to come out on PC, I thought it was supposed to be released at the same time as the PS3/XB360 version. I have to admit it looks a lot more interesting than Unity though Unity has a more interesting historical setting.
Because you kill good guys :c
I’m going to take an exert from my earlier post today on FC4:
… Then AC:U; I’ve been playing this for a week and every time I start to get engaged in the plot, which is a bit slow and tedious, I’m jolted out by the poor-graphical optimisation. I’m running it on an i-7-4770K @ 4.2 with 16GB memory and dual GTX 780 Ti’s in SLI, and I still get stuttering and outright freezes with the graphics set to low at 1080p because Ubisoft decided to get a bit overzealous with the glitter and tinfoil on the scenery and the number of peasants running around on screen.
This is my experience with the game so far.
why is the frame rate soo bad in the videos?
Because the frame rate in the game is bad. Go check out Totalbiscuit’s video about it. He covers all the technical things that are wrong with AC:U in some detail.
