This weekend, a Pikachu parade was held in Seoul, South Korea. Too many people showed up.

The parade marked the first Korean to win the Pokemon World Championships. It was similar to the parade held this past summer in Japan — but minus the sea of humans. Don’t get me wrong! The event in Japan drew crowds, but nothing like this.
The Pikachu Parade in South Korea started out ok enough.

It got so crowded that safety concerns resulted in some of the parades being nixed. “The police were worried about the crowd and how it could have led to a possible stampede,” an event organiser told The Korea Times. “So we decided to hold parades only at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. time, and cancelled the 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. shows.”
