LostArk is an upcoming PC game from Korean studio Smilegate. It looks nutso.
Once you get past the visuals in this trailer – and yes, most of this is showing what looks like gameplay – know that this isn’t a straight action/RPG like Diablo. It says it’s actually fusing that style of action gameplay with MMO elements, but from the trailer that really just looks like it has 4-player co-op.
It’s been in development for three years, and The Korea Times says there’ll be a closed beta next year. It might come to the West, it might not!

If it has a rune system I’m in.
At the moment it has to beat Path of Exile in every way to draw me in. It has graphics down I’ll give them that, but the skill tree in PoE is just too great when mixed with gems.

Smilegate sounds like a very pleasant scandal.
WOW, that sure looms impressive. i havent played diablo iii yet, if diablo has the same graphic, i am sold for both games.
DIII looks good, but doesnt hold a candle to this…
i think this about sums up my impressions….
seriously though, if they nail the skill tree and give this some proper marketing as well as a worldwide release (hopefully on consoles too), they will give blizzard a run for its money.. I can guarantee a ps4 purchase right here if it plays as well as it looks.

The art style reminds me of TERA online. Which is good, because I loved that art style. This laptop will probably cry if I try to run it though!
Graphics looks amazing but these days I don’t base games on how pretty they look anymore. as long as they gameplay is also solid its got my vote 🙂
