Zombie Omelets Are Both Terrifying And Delicious

Rice omelets (オムライス or omuraisu) are one of Japan’s favourite dishes. But you know what makes them better? Zombies, that’s what.

If you’ve seen anime, you’ve probably seen omurice pop up somewhere. Often, people write messages in ketchup.

Sometimes the messages are romantic or cute. Sometimes, they’re funny. This says, “I hate mummy.”

Last Friday on Halloween, Japanese Twitter users uploaded photos of their “zombie rice omelets,” which is typical omurice, but with a twist: little sausages for zombie fingers.

But, while you might see more zombie rice omelets during Halloween, some people make them whenever they’re in the mood for zombies.
