Five Nights At Freddy’s Fan Game Makes Disney Characters Terrifying

Forget Chuck-e-Cheese-like animatronics. Those are already a little bit creepy on their own. Corrupting Disney characters, however, is a bit more unsettling.

Five Nights at Treasure Island is a Five Nights at Freddy’s fan game, and while it isn’t done, what developer AnArt1996 has so far is promising. Like the original Five Nights, you are tasked with overseeing a facility. To that end, you can peer into various cameras around Treasure Island, and you can swap between them quickly. Like the original Five Nights, much of the game is in the tension and atmosphere — you repeatedly check the same cameras, in case something has changed…or moved.

Right now there’s only one animatronic, Mickey, though you can see other Disney characters around the facility, too. Players also only have to survive one night, not five — this is just a demo. Still, it’s an interesting take. There are no doors or lights. You have to shut off cameras if the Mickey comes into your room, as that will grab the attention of the animatronic. Sometimes, those cameras won’t turn back on, or you’ll encounter a glitch, so you have to be careful. You can watch the game in action here in this footage by IULITM:
