Los Santos: the city so pretty you won’t notice the dead bodies. At least not right away.
The documentation of quiet beautiful moments is turning out to be one of the best, unintended consequences of the new-gen upgrade for Grand Theft Auto V. The majority of Jeremy Leon’s in-game photography focuses on the beauty of the game’s setting when things are relatively calm. Check out more pics over at his Los Santos Confidential Tumblr.

See, I’m not one to usually comment when I don’t like something, but I don’t know. These screenshots may look ok in the moment, but like pretty much every other GTA game, it’s going to look really dated, really fast. I know it’s built on a last-gen foundation, but still. I guess with age, you learn to better discern what will hold up over time and what won’t.
These screenshots also don’t really do the game justice either. There are way more awesome looking scenes in GTA. I think I’ve only done about 5 missions in 20 hours of game time… I spend too much time just walking around (yep, walking) and checking out all the little details.
The first time I saw a sunrise on a foggy morning from a chopper I was genuinely awestruck. The shards of shadows cast through the fog looked amazing.
I don’t understand … Aren’t we supposed to be all “GTA is the devil” these days?
This is an outrage … we can’t have a whole generation of young men growing up thinking that it’s acceptable to run around taking photos of architecture and stuff.
GTA is the devil.
These screenshots aren’t GTA V, there’s not enough women being sexually assaulted and abused.
Ok that’s enough. I bought this for 360 when it came out and I’ve been toying with the idea of buying again for PS4 because it just looks so damn beautiful.
Decision made. I’m buying it again
