Briefly: Bombshell! Yakuza 5, which many of us thought would never actually make it to Western shores, will arrive for PS3 next year, Sony has announced. Here’s Sega with more details on the upcoming surprise localisation, which is slated for next winter. [via Sega]

My brother will be very happy.
AND THE WESTERN FANS WENT ESTACTIC AS THEY FOUND A GOOD GTA ALTERNATIVE, ESPECIALLY IN OZ SINCE 2 STORE CHAINS BANNED THE SALE OF GTA GAMES
I know I got in arms over this, then I had a bit of a think. It’s been over a decade since I purchased a game from either of those chains. Between EB and JB, my gaming needs are generally well served, even at inflated retail prices.
For those that have neither of those chains nearby, it blows, but it shouldn’t for long. JB in particular has been expanding like a weed.
I cannot believe it. I bought a jap copy and got a translation guide as I was sure they were not listening.
Not only did they listen but they must of figured out that a digital release with subs is not a bad idea.
YES, I’M SO HAPPY I FEEL LIKE CLIMBING UP A HUGE TOWER AND HAVING A BOSS BATTLE ON IT!
Yakuza Ishin PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
So stoked! Started playing Yakuza 4 again out of celebration!
