CD Projekt Red recently Nick McDonalds two months to recreate the game’s 2013 trailer using MS Paint. Coincidence? Probably.
The Witcher 3 is a beautiful game, but then a lot of games are beautiful games these days. I’m getting a little tired of beautiful, borderline photo-realistic games. I think Nick might be on to something here.
This MS Paint masterpiece is comprised of 30 different compositions, each taking Nick around 55 minutes to complete (20 minutes drawing, 35 miniutes compositing). He used After Effects for the compositing and character animation. I’m guessing this is exactly the same stuff CD Projekt used to make the actual game. Explains the delay.
Want to see the real trailer and this one side-by-side? There’s a link for that.

To be able to play a game like this in this style of art would be glorious…
Is this the trailer for the Newgrounds version of the game?
I’d rather play the Witcher 3 when it’s done and polished. This is a nice video, but come on that headline is a joke, right?
No, it isn’t a joke, who could possibly play Witcher 3 after seeing the paint version?
I mean, what would be the point?
Seriously this is such an insulting article. Developers wrote an open letter to everyone stating the delay and even apologize for it and the author whine like a little bitch (pardon me language). Point the hate to the publishers that release an incomplete game rather than a developer taking more time into releasing the perfect game. Slight delay is not an issue, a broken game is an issue.
To the aurthor, just shut up
