One of the reasons Ubisoft’s big games look so good is because it’s one of the few publishers to maintain its own permanent team of talented artists. And one of their best is Donglu Yu.
She’s been helping out on both Assassin’s Creed and Far Cry for a while now, and this week has been able to share some of her work on Far Cry 4. It is stunning.
You can see more of Donglu’s work on her personal site.

That 4th one with a red lake is stunning…
Thats Shangri-la that takes place in a side mission, following the spiritual side/culture of the world. One of my favourite parts really.
It was stunning until Ubisoft rooted the whole thing with their latest patch!
The thing I love even more about this art, is that the game follows so closely. You can look at that art and instantly know it’s Far Cry 4, they’ve done an amazing job bringing Kyrat to life.
