To mark the anniversary of Utada Hikaru’s debut, Rebuild of Evangelion co-director Tsurumaki Kazuya helmed this music video for her hit song “Beautiful World”.
Of course, “Beautiful World” was the theme for Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone. The song was originally released in 2007 and was remixed for 2009’s Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance.
Previously, Kingdom Hearts creator Tetsuya Nomura showed off his rather interesting Utada art. It was something else.

It was good, music style suited it well with the chosen scene clips, but i’v seen so much more in fan AMV’s
still a great watch regardless!
Fan AMVs do tend to vary wildly in quality. Some are truly cringe-worthy because they make them way too ‘literal’ and match scene actions to lyrics.
This song is one of my guiltiest pleasures. I guess Utada as a whole, really.
Geez… it’s been a while since I listened to Hikki. Honestly need to get her more recent stuff =O
