Year-End Cosplay in Japan: The Cute, the Sexy, the Weird

Comic Market — better known as "Comiket" — is the Japanese bi-annual three-day indie manga event. Not only is there plenty of manga, but there's cosplay, too. Lots of it.

The event took place from 28-30 December and attendance was the highest it's ever been for the winter Comiket, with over 560,000 rocking people rocking up. Outside the main halls, dedicated cosplay areas were filled with people dressed up as their favourite characters, or notable people/things from the news, as... stuff. Japanese cosplay-centric blog, Asagawo Blog (アサガヲBlog), was there taking pictures of the various costumes. Check out some of the cool, crazy, and/or creative costumes below.

Those attack on titan girls. I wonder what they do in Japan.

Probably teach English. Like a lot of foreigners in Japan only seem to do.

There's some sexy cosplay in there!

But, I'm not sure white pants look good on anyone :(
