This is what a painfully lucky encounter with Diablo III’s random number generator looks like.
Player duslol not only got a rare Conduit Pylon with its zapping instant-kill buffs right at the entrance of an end-game dungeon, but an even rarer pack of Treasure Goblins next to it, all standing in a narrow hallway, ending up with three legendary drops in under a minute. Even if you put hundreds of hours into the game, this combination of unique events is something everyone would kill for.
And the result is a dungeon entrance filled with loot:

Awesome
Not crazy uncommon, legs drops constantly now.. game has kinda been ruined by it.
I can get an entire endgame level set in one sitting now.
This is actually more common than you would think, i’ve had the conduit/gobbie pack 3 times in the last month.
Yeah on PS4 my play time is maybe 1/100th of my PC D3 days.
YET EVERYTHING I OWN BLOWS EVERYTHING I HAD ON PC COMPLETELY OUT OF THE WATER.
*sigh*
The game was far more fun and challenging on its initial release but now its literally too easy they kind of missed the balance, but its a fun couch co-op.
“A Lucky Way To Start Diablo III” is the article title. I expected some kinda bug where this happened to a new player to the game with a new character.
Instead, we have a level 70 barbarian with 433 paragon levels entering a rift:
“Even if you put hundreds of hours into the game, this combination of unique events is something everyone would kill for.”
This player has put hundreds of hours into the game 😉
Was there any skill involved in that run? It seemed he was just running around with lightning killing everything around him. Is this what the game has come to?
Given his character is lvl 70 with 433 paragon points, it is likely that the T6 rift he’s doing is a walk in the park.
There is skill involved in the game, however. If I compare my character’s gear, which is similar if not identical in some cases, to players on the upper tiers of the seasonal ladder; I am able to do up to maybe GR 36 or so, whereas these other people can do GR 45+. The only thing that separates us is skill, at least as far as I can see.
