In the late ’90s, Canadian company TranDirect Holding had an idea: What if you could connect a Super Nintendo to a phone line, and use it to do your banking on? And what if instead of using a regular SNES controller, you used a sweet custom BANKING CONTROLLER.
Look at that thing! It’s like a tiny fax machine! A sleeker Jaguar controller!
It never went anywhere, sadly, but the video TranDirect made to try and sell the concept is fantastic. All that engineering, all those workarounds that were needed in 1998 to do something that, in theory, seems so simple to our 2015 minds.
I wish at least the controller had survived, and gone onto better, more productive uses. A SNES chatpad would have been sweet for saving precious seconds entering character names in Final Fantasy.

Or, you know, you could click on the link that is provided in the article which takes you directly to the video.
I mean, I consider myself to be pretty lazy, but damn
It’s less “the video isn’t attached” (Because it is, otherwise I’d have said something about that too) and more “I hate pointless animated gifs” – in this instance the gif is being used as a direct substitute for the video itself, which is just horrible.
I’m a huge fan of animated gif in lieu of video embed. Great for viewing kotaku on intenet you shouldn’t be using. Oops here comes the boss :p
I’m with @MrBS on this one. Great for people at work.
