'Realistic' Smash Bros. Clapping Video Is The Dumbest Way To End Sunday

You made it to the end of another weekend! Your mother and I are proud of you. And so are all of these Super Smash Bros. characters, who will now clap "realistically" at you for five minutes. Just watch (with sound on). It's as great as it is dumb.

GrumpOut created this video that approximates what every Smash Bros. characters' end-of-match clapping would actually sound like. Most of them are just comical, but a few — like Donkey Kong, Sheik, and Duck Hunt — are surprisingly elaborate, not to mention true to character. Oh, and adding a dull, fleshy thud to Zero Suit Samus' clapping makes her "god damn it, I lost" face even more perfectly passive-aggressive.

And Ness is just... I don't think I ever want to be friends with Ness.

Watch the video. Have a laugh. You've scored a temporary victory in the Smash Bros. game that is life. Soon you'll be knocked off the screen at a million kilometres per hour into Monday, so savour the applause while you can.

On top of all the hilarity, the attention to detail alone is amazing. So many subtle little differences in each clap, and they totally sound like they're exactly right for each character's animation.

    I'm impressed :P

Doesn't sound like clappin', more like fappin'.

Especially the Duckhunt dog one... but that might just be me.

    I lost it at Wario.

As a Game Grumps fan, I both expected and did not expect this.

I watched this Saturday night. Ridiculous and long, but funny. Bowzer got me good.
