Leviathan, a short film about some space men trying to catch a space whale, is awesome. So let's take some time to look at some of the awesome concept art that went into its production.
If you thought the film looked slick, there's good reason for that: it wasn't just directed by someone with Hollywood experience, but some of the artists involved include creature and concept legend Jordu Schell (who designed the Leviathan), Ben Mauro (District 9, Advanced Warfare), Valve's Jim Murray (DOTA 2 character design) and Naughty Dog's Colin Thomas (Uncharted) , with help from artists like Daniel Rath and Maxence Fleuret.
You can see some of their work below, which covers not just the human tech, but the design and modelling of the big guy himself.
Fine Art is a celebration of the work of video game artists, showcasing the best of both their professional and personal portfolios.
