George RR Martin Shops For Comics, Is Adorable

It’s no secret that George R.R. Martin is an old-school comics nerd, a guy who wrote fan letters to Marvel Comics back in the day. Surely, well off as he must be, somebody’s running to get his comics for him, right? Nope. He gets them himself. Sometimes, he brings Game of Thrones actresses with him, too.

This segment from a German TV show shows GRRM having a night on the town with Sibel Kekilli, the actress who plays Shae on HBO’s Game of Thrones series. The pair hit up Santa Fe’s Big Adventure Comics to peruse the latest in printed sequential entertainment and, after shouting out the ASOIAF comics adaptation, Martin gives a hearty thumbs-up to Saga. Good to know that Martin’s a fan. And maybe it’s just me, but Martin’s squeaky little voice makes this segment even more adorable.
