The truth is still out there, apparently. One of my favourite TV shows of all-time is returning!

Variety reports both David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson will return as Fox Mulder and Dana Scully. Series creator Chris Carter, who recently filmed a pilot for Amazon that wasn’t picked up, will also return.

FOX has ordered six new episodes of The X-Files, and while production is expected to begin in Q3 2015, it’s unclear when the episodes will actually air.

This is not expected to be a reboot, but it’s unclear where this fits into the timeline. Plenty of questions in The X-Files mythology went unanswered after the show went off the air though.
