LEGO are blocky. So are old video games. You know what that means? It means this.
Twitter user Ryusen is good at building LEGO creations. Really good. Just look as he recreates everything from Super Robot Wars‘ Billbine to first-gen Pocket Monster sprites. In particular, the shading on that Billbine is superb.

these are pretty cool – but, they’re usually made with customised colours, which makes it less impressive
Where are the customised colours???
I don’t see how using custom colours makes this less impressive. My fiance does beading (perler beads) and as impressive and time consuming as they are, the colours available to create exactly what she wants are only a small ebay purchase away. The medium is the focus of this article. Mostly only bead sprites get attention; this medium is not greatly seen but is still effective and impressive!
