The First Five Minutes Of Angry Birds Bust-A-Move

The First Five Minutes Of Angry Birds Bust-A-Move

Oh wait, it says here the game’s name is Angry Birds Stella POP!. Oh well, too late to change the video. We’re just going to have to roll with it. It’s only five minutes, no one will notice.

In an effort to expand the gameplay horizons of its Angry Birds franchise, Rovio tapped UK developer Outplay to make them a copy of Bubble Witch Saga 2 with birds in it. As Bubble Witch Saga itself is a derivative of Bust-A-Move (aka Puzzle Bobble), you can understand my confusion.

Here’s the game’s official iTunes description:

Angry Birds meets bubble shooter in an all-new and super-addictive puzzler! Use your slingshot to match and burst colourful bubbles, save exotic critters, and topple the piggies. Strategic and intuitive gameplay make for a challenging and satisfying bubble popping experience!

Available today for iOS and Android, Angry Birds Stella POP!‘s official announcement PR blast features the word “iconic” three times — “iconic piggies”, “iconic bubble shooter gameplay” and “one of the most iconic mobile games of the last five years.”

And for those of you wondering, here’s where I ran out of lives the first time.

The First Five is the first five minutes of a game with light commentary. Once the five minutes are up, so are we.
