Maybe the graphics are currently a little jaggy and the frame-rate not yet totally smooth. Does that stuff really matter when the in-game food looks this friggin’ good? Yes, yes it does. But damn, Final Fantasy XV food is making me hungry.
Ever since the game’s meals were first shown off earlier this year, some fans online have been salivating. For good reason, because it looks rather tasty.
Recently, Japanese website Dengeki Online published some new FFXV images, featuring more delicious dishes.
What, is Square Enix trying to give Studio Ghibli a run for its money in the savoury food department?
Bet we can look forward to Square Enix rolling out real world versions of FFXV food at a pop-up cafe once the game gets closer to release.

First on looks like a some kind of meat stew, the second an Eastern soup of some kind, but the last one definitely an UITSMIJTER.
There is already a Square Enix Cafe (Artnia) in the Shinjuku district where they serve Square Enix themed food, such as Chocobo pancakes, so I won’t be surprised if this food turns up there. Sadly it’s very small and often crazy busy, and there was over an hour wait time just to get a seat when I went there. There wasn’t enough room or things to see in the general area to justify that wait time and I was a bit embarrassed after taking a seat before realising there was a waiting list, so I left (after buying some FF and DQ bits and pieces).
I’m going to shed tears playing this game for the first time, the long wait is coming to a close!
