Following up on last year’s spectacular Simpsons house set, LEGO returns to Springfield with one of the fictional town’s most iconic retail establishments. Your own miniature Kwik-E-Mart franchise can be yours in May for $US200.
That’s a lot of dough — $US50 less than the $US250 house set — but you get a lot for the money. For starters, it comes with a cardboard box.
And what an informative cardboard box it is. It tells us how many pieces the set consists of, always good to know. We get a look at the six figures in the box, including the set-exclusive Snake.
And we see that the entire shop opens up, allowing collectors and especially lucky young children an unprecedented look at the world inside the Kwik-E-Mart.
Not only that, but with the store closed you can pull away the secret rooftop vegetable garden…
…and get an overhead view of the shop’s layout. You know, in case you want to rob the place.
Did I mention it comes with Chief Wiggum’s police car? It has an opening trunk and seats three minifigures.
Had I the cash and the room, I’d be on this set like a man with the cash and the room. The detail level here is pretty amazing.
All is not lost for Simpsons fans on a tight budget. The second wave of Simpsons minifigures is on the way, bringing 16 new characters from the show to LEGO land for $US3.99 or so apiece.
The LEGO Kwik-E-Mart will be available online starting on May 1, which is also my birthday, in case any of my family is reading.

This advertisement was proudly and shamelessly brought to you by Mike Fahey and your friends at LEGO.
Some cool pieces in there.
Though I can’t see any moon pie.
Who needs the Kwik-E-Mart?
At probably $300-$350 Australian dollars, I don’t need the Kwik-E-Mart
Not meeeeeeeeeeeeee.
Their floors are sticky mart!
Now here’s the tricky part. Oh won’t you rhythm with me.
The Kwik-E-Mart is real – D’OH!
The “x” is also cursed quote isn’t even from the quik-e-mart >.>
I fail to see what the Kwik-E-Mart has to do with the House of Evil, the store where Homer purchased the evil Krusty doll from (The proprietor of which provided the quote in the headline)… and yes, I do know far too much about this series….
I only came to this article to say the SAME THING
Maybe the Kwik-E-Mart now sells the forgurt?
Seems the only logical option…
The frogurt is also cursed
I read the ‘article’ just to figure out what the curse reference was. It didn’t even occur to me that someone might confuse the two 🙁
The curse is Frostilicus,
The old Geezer Apu dresses up as a frozen viking.
I never really cared for the Simpsons House set, but this I can get behind. I already collect the Creator Modular series, so if they’re releasing sets like this, maybe Moe’s or the Android’s Dungeon, then I’ll be all over this. Love the little touches like the printed Frostilicus minifig.
Lego Moe’s Tavern, now that’s something I can get behind.
Oof, yes please.
It’s not cursed unless it’s got a Frozen Yoghurt machine in it.
That’s bad.
But it comes with Snake.
That’s good!
Snake is also cursed!
…
That’s bad.
But he comes with a free Frogurt!
I like this way better than the house – something about 742 Evergreen Terrace just seemed a little bit cramped, whereas this feels way better in proportion. Plus, it has Snake, and Jasper in the freezer.
That’s good!!
