This Is Not A Real Apartment

This Is Not a Real Apartment

Nope, it's another one of those fake Unreal Engine 4 apartments. Those fake, gorgeous Unreal Engine 4 apartments.

The demo, called Scandinavian, was posted to the Unreal Engine forums by blessod, an architectural visualisation veteran of seven years. It shows a small and simple, but spacious and well-lit apartment equipped with, judging by the name, anything and everything Ikea. Also, it can switch between two wall colours:

Scandinavian is blessod's first Unreal Engine 4 demo, a so-called "learning project," but it doesn't really show. Here are some screenshots I took in the demo (using the red wall colour setting, which I thought was prettier):

Just like all those fake gorgeous Unreal Engine 4 games. #fortniteisalie

    Looks great in the Rift.

    ugh...horrible flashblacks of uni assignments...

Sure I read somewhere that only about 1/3 of the photos in an Ikea catalogue are actually photos. The rest are renders like this one.

Because the staff don't want to spend their time putting together furniture.

Give it time, and then these photos will be used on Craig's List (overseas) to sucker people into leaving key deposits.

      :C

Why you gotta real it up? Next you'll be reminding us that we're all going to die, and coincidentally probably only a few years before immortality technology becomes a reality.

        Shattering dreams, everywhere I go.

So Friday night's gonna be a blast, eh?
