What am I playing? Well, I’m close to being finished with Metroid Prime so there’s that. I’m also playing another video game…
But I’m not supposed to talk about that.
So I’m going to talk about Metroid Prime. Playing this game was a goddamn mistake. It’s literally ruined me for everything else. I tried playing Ori and the Blind Forest, and it’s amazing.
But it’s no Metroid Prime.
Tried Playing OlliOlli 2 and, sure, it’s good. But it’s no Metroid Prime.
Bloody Metroid Prime. Why do you have to make every other game look mediocre?
What are you playing this weekend?

FFXV Demo!! It also came with some other FF game called Type-0 or sumfin….might give that a go…
Me too. Have a uni intensive on Saturday but Sat night and Sunday are FFXV all the way
Got a Warmachine tournament on Sunday. Maybe the meta won’t piss me off this time.
Other than that, finishing a co-op playthrough for Dead Rising 2. Maybe Heists in GTAV. Still addicted to Fire Emblem: Awakening. Raid mode on Resident Evil: Revalaitons.
Going to get OlliOlliololiollliolollliliollol 2 and give that a crack.
Gotta get some Xur goodies in Destiny too. Bit of GTAV and thinking should dl new cities game.
You can tell when someone is a Destiny player: we get all jittery on a friday waiting for 7:00pm to roll around.
It’s pretty decent, after the first 30 mins you get into it. Remembering to press X to land took me a while to get my head around.
Thinking I’ll drop into the Melbourne Monster Hunter event on Saturday.
damn why dont i live in a cooler place.
Work and Battlefield: Hardline, that is all,
Skyrim
I’ll be playing “Pre-order a PlayStation 5 at EB Games”
http://www.ibtimes.com/sony-corporation-playstation-5-coming-could-be-physical-or-cloud-based-1764042
Vice City picked it up on PSN for 3 bucks along with a bunch of other classic GTA games, what i’d do for a HD remake of it though…
Come on Mark, in the time you’ve been talking about Metroid Prime I’ve replayed it, finished it, and am now nearly done with Prime 2. Get with it man!
Having a family can do that to you. Plus there’s another game that I’m sure has been taking up his time…
Oh come now, did I really need to add my shitstirring smiley face to the end of that dribble? 😉
Oh I know! Too bad Serrels Jr is still too young for Bloodborne…
It was gonna be Final Fantasy Type-0, but I can’t say I’m enjoying it. The combat is fantastic but everything else falls flat for me, especially the story and characters. If it were a Vita game I’d reconsider, but strangely it’s not.
So, Ori and The Blind Forest it is, then. Maybe I’ll finish Gran Turismo 6 while I’m at it.
It looks so shit on PS4. Do it remote play.
Xbox One. Don’t have a PS4 just yet.
Ahhhh,
Played last night, many issues with visuals. Fun game though.
Should have gone straight to Vita.
type 0
Typo? ^_-

Well, I’m joining the Wii U owners club tonight, so probably Mario Kart 8, Wind Waker and Lego City Undercover! WOOHOO!!!
You sure you won’t be playing 5gb update?
Aww nuts. Well I will be this afternoon…
Lego city is SO great! Glad to see some people are still picking it up.
Going to finish off Ori and the Blind Forest, and hopefully play enough Cities: Skylines that I’ll be able to get it out of my system before Pillars of Eternity on the 26th (yay!).
I’ve just started a Devil May Cry marathon (All 5 games) in the time before Awakened Fate Ultimatum comes out next week so I’ll be playing through those this weekend. Outside of that I’ll be playing Oreshika and continuing my NES Megaman marathon (All 6 games).
Just rush through DMC2 as fast as possible…. Love every other title in the series, yes including the recent DmC reboot.
So many games to play… ugh. Do I play Ori? Get some more XP on my gear in Destiny while hoping to find a raid? Rock out on Rocksmith? Grind a few levels in the hope of beating that infuriating Majin Buu fight in Xenoverse? See what’s new in Elite? Try my hand at starting a new city with what I’ve learned from my last one in Skylines? What to do…
And Bloodborne’s just around the corner… *hyperventilates*
Oh, wait, nevermind. I’ll be playing the cleaning game. Bloody house inspections…
Finishing off a replay of The Walking Dead Season 2, and polishing off my platinum run of Beyond Two Souls. Probably Tales of the Borderlands Ch 2 as well. That should see me through until Bloooooooodboooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrne.
Skyrim again. I started playing it again the other week, and started a new character with a different play style to usual. (2-handed berserker style).
I will finally grind out the final trophy for Ratchet & Clank 3 on the PS3 (10 Million Bolts, halfway there), haven’t been able to play alot of the home console recently, but I made some headway this week. Might have to do a super late nighter and return to The Order 1886, probably halfway through, so will look at finishing it off.
Aside from that, the better half is doing alot of stuff this weekend, so not much will happen as I’ll be watching the kids.
Also, loving Flame Over on the Vita also, great fire-fighting roguelike something or other, ridiculously brutal when you are starting out and learning what to do. Also grinding Farming Simulator 14 between work and home, probably about 10-13hrs left to grind.
How is the PS3 trilogy for Ratchet and Clank? I loved them on PS2, as well as the PS3 titles, so picking up the PS3 trilogy is definitely on my hit list.
They look and play fine…
Well the original has aged, mainly because there is no real strafing option, so the controls feel old… but it still plays fine.
I had a pretty productive weekend last weekend. Finally knocked Last of Us off the pile of shame. Then I finished the last achievements in Ground Zeroes. I even got a little bit of Wind Waker in there. I managed to get almost everything in Dragonball Xenoverse so I was able to unlock my final achievements right before Type-0 was released.
I think Final Fantasy Type-0 and the FFXV or demo will probably take up some time but I’m not sure if they’ll last the weekend.
…I think I need to play Metroid Prime.
Battlefield: Hardline, started playing yesterday, looks really great, and the guns have a nice weighty feel to them. I like the arresting mechanic too.
Backlog…..getting……out….of………control:
– Far Cry 4….maybe, something about this game just not clicking with me and I LOVED FC3
– Shadow of Mordor…. probable
– GoT Episode 2… doubtful
– GTA: O…. definite, oh man I loves me the Heists
Just got my RGB and VGA video converter hardware all up and running along with a 60Hz mod for my Mega Drive. So I’ll be playing through some Sonic 2 this weekend, along with some NBA Jam, Earthworm Jim, Streets of Rage and Toejam and Earl…. can’t wait!
Dying light. Gonna try to stick to a single game until I’m done otherwise I play a few and don’t finish any of them. My pile of shame is giving me anxiety issues!
Still playing Cities Skylines. But also paintball!
I will finish off Revelaitons 2 story then go on to finish the Raid mode. I’ve really enjoyed my time with this one and I’m going to miss it.
On portable I’m working on the Toukiden Kiwami demo so I can import the save into the PS4/Vita games at the end of the month. Woo!
I finished Hitman: Blood Money last night. I’ve been playing through the series for the first time. so I’ll be playing Hitman Absolution on the weekend =)
I just purchased Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean for GCN on eBay… but, it won’t arrive until next week, so not that.
Maybe FF Type-0 HD, if I spot a copy on Saturday.
Otherwise… Uhhh… Tales of Xillia 2 and/or watching the Inspector Gadget TV series.
Up to act 3 on Witcher 2 so I’ll play that. I pre-ordered Witcher 3 because GOG was giving away neverwinter nights diamond, so I figured I better finish off the second game. Pretty cool game really, not sure why I stopped playing this.
Majora’s Mask – up to the pirate cove, gotta figure out how to get in to whoop them for some Zora eggs.
Counterstrike GO: just reinstalled this the other day to play with some mates. Wow, it’s like your favourite old pair of sneakers, comfy a little bit ragged round the edges, but overall good to slip back into.
Transistor – can’t figure out why I don’t like this as much as Bastion, I’m going to try grind it out though.
Despite putting in over a hundred hours on GTA Online, I’ve never finished the GTA V story mode. So I started that back up, and now I’m halfway through and hooked.
Oh, and I guess I’ll have to put the controller down at some point and help organise my engagement party that’s next weekend.
Stupid real life…
Battlefield Hardline and Cities Skylines, pretty similar games really 😛
Also thinking about maybe picking up Final Fantasy Type-0 HD
EDIT: Also only five days to go until amazing chest ahead.
Try jumping…
7 Days to Die, 4 player LAN
Gonna be Epic!
Battlefield Hardline, Ori and the Blind Forest (almost finished) and GTA heists if I can coordinate with people to be on at the same time (unlikely).
I’m REALLY hoping to get back to XCOM Long War. I’ve almost finished editing the massive backlog of video I built up when I first started recording it so I’m nearly set to start playing again.
Friendly tip; if you ever decide to start a long running video series, don’t get too carried away playing and actually edit stuff before you get more than 20 hours of footage…
World of Tanks – ‘On Track to the FV4202’ is running. It is a good of an excuse as any to jump in a Centurion and start cracking skulls.
World of Warships Closed Beta – Working on USN Aircraft Carriers and IJN Battleships.
And just to mix it up a bit, a little Evolve on the side.
Are you a regular baller good sir?
Dark Souls II in preparation for Bloodborne.
I’ve got a few that are going to consume my weekend.
I’ve been having a blast with the Stanley Parable and have almost explored every alternative option.
I’ve also started stranded deep but there’s not much to that yet. So ten days of surviving is a little boring.
Just started Hotline Miami 2 as well and I’m half way into the second act so I’ll probably knock that one off this weekend and maybe retire with some FC4 as I’ve been holding off of this one for a long while.
Like every weekend, I’ll pour more time into AFL Live 2. (I’m almost at the end of my 6th season!)
If I can get the time, maybe play the Simpsons Wrestling on the PS1. It finally arrived in the mail, which is nice.
GRAND FINAL BABY! Baseball grand final for my team tomorrow. RED SOX 4 LYFE!
Video games-wise I’ll be playing Mirror’s Edge, Hearthstone, Tropical Freeze and maybe some Dark Souls. It’s hard to pick up when you have a kid though because of the lack of significant chunks of time required to make any real headway.
Still chugging away on my first playthrough of Dragon age inquisition.
Helldivers.
Only got it last night but loving it. Some of the best co-op I’ve played.
Revelations 1 Raid mode farming kills
Killzone 3 single player
I am smashing out the Battlefield Hardline campaign.
Then, I shall break some lamps and blacken some eyes whilst playing Fruit Ninja Kinect 2 with my daughter.
HOTLINE MIAMI 2 OF COURSE
THAT’S ILLEGAL!
😛
Going to finish Ep 5 of S1 of the Walking dead hopefully tonight. Holy moly it’s good. Managed to avoid spoilers this whole time then a friend dropped a bomb even after I told him which chapter I was on ugh. Oh well.. still took me by surprise.
After that.. idk.. maybe Shadowrun or Beseiged… or I might try and finish the Saboteur or Fallout (the original lol)
Just picked up GTAV for the Xbone, so probably that (and Destiny). My wife seems to be enjoying Zombie Army Trilogy.
Mario Party 10 on Saturday WOOT.
+ hearthstone, heroes of the storm.
Here’s my weekend.
Saturday:
9AM – Pick up Mario Party 10
10AM – Buy lots of pork, coleslaw and buns.
10:30AM: Put slow cooker on, fill with pork
11AM: Buy bottle of ROGUE Gin, a few bottles of tonic and some craft beers.
12AM – Sunday AM: Get shitfaced, play mario party 10/smash brothers/mario kart with the missus and a bunch of mates, eat pulled pork buns, pass out.
It’s going to be amazing.
Just a perfect weekend.
+1 for the Metroid Prime mention, OP. I too feel that every game pales in comparison to Prime, and I played the damn game when it first came out.
Anyway, this weekend, aside work, I will be playing some more Final Fantasy XIV (the game is so damn addictive now my missus got me hooked back on it after a good 6 month break) – Missus and I have our Ceremony of Eternal Bonding monday 7:30pm :3 (in-game wedding, because yolo).
Aside from that, I might boot up DayZ again, had this itch to play and see how it fares these days. Might try and last 20 minutes without getting shot by bandits T___T.
Might get Helldivers too to play with the missus… My brother says it is a blast. The constant friendly fire leads me to believe it is going to be hectic as fu-
I finished Dragon Age: Inquisition last weekend, so it’s back to Skyrim to finish the storylines I didn’t finish because Dragon Age distracted me.
Housesitting for family tonight and Saturday night, with no internet connection. Taking my laptop, so will probably tether to my tablet and just dung out doing something menial on FFXIV like farming my atma or levelling trade skills.
Failing that, might dabble in BFH single player. Laptop’s getting a bit dated, see how the old GTX460M handles it. Probably not terribly well, but I’ll compromise until I can get home and play on my desktop.
Will probably play through Valiant Hearts and Rogue Legacy until I find Wolfenstein on special, or convince my mates to get Helldivers.
Plan to finish off Atelier Shallie, now that they’ve patched the crash bug that was happening with the levelling system that gets added at level 40.
There are a few accomplishments in the game that throw your party 5000XP in one hit. As a result I (re-)levelled from 36 to 41 in about ten minutes earlier today…
Lots of Hearthstone!
Have AC Freedom Cry as an option for the coming weeks though.
I dunno what I will be playing. I got Borderlands 2, Majora Mask 3D, Yakuza 1, Yakuza Ishin all started and I am enjoying them heaps but I just want Bloodborne and that is killing my enthusiasm for everything. Damn FromSoft!
Every time I read “type-0” I tink a new R-Type has been released without my prior knowledge or consent. It’ll be Monster Hunter for me, along with serious bouts of Street Fighter IV and really wishing I could have accepted the invite to the Bloodborne launch
