PC players have been waiting on GTA V long enough that some people jokingly called the Steam launch “Christmas day”. Seriously. That’s just how hyped PC GTA fans were!
Now that people have had a chance to give the crime simulator a whirl, the user reviews on Steam have started to trickle in. And boy, are people excited about the game.
You can expect a few key things from GTA Steam reviews. There are some inevitable jabs at both Watch Dogs and console players. PC elitism is alive and well, in case you were wondering. You can also expect jokes about how good the game looks, and jokes about how people are about to abandon real life for the streets of Los Santos.
Here is what Steam is saying about GTA V:
Never change, Steam.

As useless as always
The reviews or the game?
the game it’s 2 years old
I love looking at the “X products in account” as i scroll down. Some of the numbers are insane.
837…..!
Once you go humble bundle, you never go low. I have like spare 30+ games on humble bundle that I cannot claim because I own it :P.
Personally owns 313 games on steam.
It’s the negative Steam reviews I’m more interested in. Reading through them a ton of people are having issues just using Rockstars social club to login.
The cause for ‘most’ of those people was found and it is because their user names included special/ASCII characters.
Hopefully a deliberate act on R* behalf, because nobody wants those kinds of people in-game.
Right, those would be the ones with foreign names from foreign countries right?
Like “Πρόεδρος της Ελληνικής Δημοκρατίας” or “天皇陛下”?
Surely they aren’t using offensive words now are they?
Yep, I haven’t been able to play yet – game crashes when loading story mode or benchmark.
Have spent 2-3 hours troubleshooting, trying fixes from the internet etc with no luck.
Found a fix for it, worked for my Girlfriend.
Open device manager
Find your graphics card (Display Adapter area)
disable it
Click play on steam
The GTA launcher should come up with the play button
Enable graphics card
Click Play
Lemme know if this helps!
Thanks for the suggestion but I already tried that 🙁
Good news is that I got it to work!
I copied a friend’s working install folder over the top of mine and that fixed the issue.
Suspect it was a corrupted download.
The game runs very nice on my PC – i5 3570, GTX 670, 8GB Ram.
Great stuff, Mate! glad to hear it works!
I started downloading it last night, I should be able to play it tomorrow evening if I don’t get disconnected.
NBN where are you?
What internet do you have that you could download 60+ gb in less than 24 hours?
I have ADSL2. It’s going to take closer to 48hrs, I rarely get above 500kb/s download.
Oh I see wrong sorry. I thought you said started yesterday and finishing this evening 😛
I also have ADSL2+ and rarely get above 500Kb/s.
Luckily I have a step dad that loves to download and he has High Speed Broadband. 60gb in about 4 hours. It peaked at 25Mb/s.
>game of the year 2015
forgetting Witcher hasn’t launched yet
So glad I bought it for a 3rd time. Runs like a dream even on my 4 year old hardware. Nothing amazing in the graphical dept, but it still looks as good or better than the PS4 version!
It seems weird that the master race is using GTA V as a demonstration of their supremacy.
