Now that Super Mario 64 is out on the latest Nintendo console, lots of people have picked up the classic yet again. Some people are even playing it for the first time — and it’s heartwarming to see what these players have to say about Super Mario 64.

The controls are still too awkward, still a non-buy for me. I want to try and beat the game, not the bad controls.
gamepad actually works really well.
Yeah, but why can’t Mario crawl?
Because you’re not holding the Z trigger down 😛
But, there’s no obvious tutorial slowing the game down to tell me.
If this was on Xbox One, I’d be asking for a refund. Gives me motion sickness, still the same terrible framerate that plagues my real N64. I thought that could of at least been fixed. Wont be buying any more N64 virtual console games.
Nintendo though? I guess I’ll have to suck it up, their online platform isn’t sorted enough to think a refund is possible.
If you want to play N64 games on modern displays, download the ROM and use your PC. Nintendo aren’t up to the task of fixing it for you.
Last few years they’ve really gone down the shitter with their business practices, we’re definitely not seeing the Nintendo of old any more.
Would be great if it was a proper remaster and not just the game poorly emulated and crappy.
Would of been nice if the takedown notice for the web based version was in preparation for their own high definition remaster…
Sadly, we get this.
Exactly what I was thinking. That remake was amazing. Imagine if they hired that guy to remake the whole damn game… hell, at the quality of his own unity based remake? I’d buy the bloody thing on the Wii U for sure.

Best game ever.
Wish so much that this was a remake instead of a port. I cannot stand the graphics now.
Is this the slowed down PAL version, or the origin NTSC?
