Awesome LEGO Dropship Even Has a Mecha Hangar

The fantastic colours and the ship's name "Anunnaki" are just one thing. The true awesomeness here is the huge hangar for LEGO mechs. This is a 30,000-piece monster, and it's big enough for three robots, all ready for their mission.

LEGO builder David Collins' ship is 1.8m long ,and it took him around 250 hours to finish. Here are some pics from all angles. And a lot more (via Brothers Brick) in his Flickr stream.

Does this even count as Lego?

Why, is it not made out of lego?

It isn't until you have a look at the last picture until you realize it's actually made out of lego with the large smooth surfaces creating the illusion that it isn't.

Oh man, I love seeing a good LEGO SNOT (Studs Not On Top) creation. :)
