This isn’t a photo of Game of Thrones star Natalie Dormer. It’s actually a 3D model by WETA’s Nick Gaul.
We’re living in a weird and wonderful age when 3D art gets so good, and so detailed, that we’re not just noticing a model’s skin or eyes, but can even pick out their vellus hair.
Gaul has worked on movies like The Hobbit trilogy, Avatar and Prometheus. Scroll down for some examples of his work, but you can see more at his ArtStation page.
To see the larger pics in all their glory (or, if they’re big enough, so you can save them as wallpaper), click on the “expand” button in the top-left corner.
Fine Art is a celebration of the work of video game artists, showcasing the best of both their professional and personal portfolios. If you’re in the business and have some concept, environment, promotional or character art you’d like to share, drop us a line!

Those eyes… they’re so terrible!
Usually in pictures, the eyes follow you.
In some of these they followed two different people who walked off in different directions.
He made Natalie super ugly… why’s he hate one of the most beautiful women acting at the moment… 🙁
