Mario Kart, Mad Max Mash Up Works Way Better Than It Should

Oh, what a lovely day. Let's thank the cinematic genius sundbergkr for YouTubing what we were all thinking: that a Mad Max: Fury Road version of Mario Kart would be spectacular. Do you still need convincing? Watch the trailer for Mario Kart: Fury Road and try telling me it's not the greatest thing ever.

I hope Nintendo's paying attention. Because even though they haven't announced any more DLC for Mario Kart 8, it's be pretty freakin' awesome to go against these guys:

Mario Kart, Mad Max Mash Up Works Way Better Than It Should

Or play a race or several as the legend Tom Hardy — er, I mean, Mad Max — himself:

Or at the very least, they could use it as inspiration to make a battle mode that's actually fun and cool. I mean, just look at this Kart-fuelled hellscape:

Sigh. Someday.

I'd just like to say, thank you for not filling up the article with worthless 50MB GIFs!

Kind of interesting, because one of the abandoned Mario movie pitches was apparently a kind of Mad Max world complete with deadly car chases.

I want the DLC soooooo bad.
